Cryptic Crawlz — Moving to Closed Development

Cryptic Crawlz — Moving to Closed Development

We’re moving Cryptic Crawlz into Closed Development. This is a pause, not a cancellation: it lets me finish a core round of work on the game before we bring collaborators back into active status.

What Closed Development means

Only a small number of core tasks will be worked on privately while wider team roles are set to inactive. Your Discord past contributions have been discarded — you won’t be removed, you’ll be marked inactive until I can schedule coordinated active cycles.

Why this is happening

I can’t reliably line up people on shared schedules right now, and progress is blocked waiting for coordinated effort. Putting the project into a closed state lets me move forward on design and systems without leaving the team mid-stream.

How this affects you

If you’re marked inactive you can stay in the server and follow progress. If you become available and want to return to an active role, tell me in Discord and I’ll review current design docs and re-activate you if the role fits the updated plan.

What I’ll do next

I’ll continue development work on my side, update core design docs, and post occasional public devlogs with meaningful changes or calls for specific, scheduled collaboration. When I’m ready to schedule active work, I’ll invite people back in focused, time-boxed sprints.

Staying connected

Stay in the Discord if you want to be considered for re-activation. Follow our itch.io or Discord.
